How it works
- Fill in your details. Leave out anything that doesn't apply; empty lines don't print.
- Check the objective and declaration. Both are filled in with plain wording you can edit.
- Download and sign. Print the PDF, sign above the line at the bottom, and attach a photo if the form asks for one.
Biodata, resume and CV
In India the three words are often mixed up. A biodata is a short, fact-first page: who you are, your education and your contact details, ending with a declaration. A resume is a one or two page summary of skills and results for private-sector jobs. A CV is a longer record, common in academic and research roles. Use a biodata when the job notice or employer asks for one, which is common for government, clerical, security, driving, teaching assistant and many first jobs.
What a job biodata includes
Personal details
- Name
- Father's Name
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Marital Status
- Nationality
- Languages Known
Education
- 10th
- 12th
- Graduation
- Post Graduation
Skills and experience

- Up to two jobs (add more with “+ Add a line”)
It ends with a short declaration, the place and date, and a line for your signature.
Tips
- Write each education line as board or university, year and percentage, in the same order throughout.
- Give a phone number you answer and an email address you check.
- Don't put Aadhaar, PAN or bank details on a biodata. An employer asks for those later, through proper forms.
Questions people ask
Is a biodata the same as a resume?
Not quite. A biodata puts personal details first (name, father’s name, date of birth, languages) and keeps the rest short. A resume leads with skills and achievements. Many government, clerical and entry-level jobs in India still ask for a biodata.
Should I add a photo?
Many Indian employers expect one on a biodata. Use a recent, passport-style photo with a plain background. It is optional in the maker.
Can I make it in Hindi?
Yes. Choose Hindi at the top. The headings, labels and the declaration change to Hindi; you can type your details in Hindi or English.
I am a fresher. What do I write under experience?
Leave it empty and the section disappears. Put internships, projects or training under Other Skills instead, and keep the career objective to one or two lines.
