How to Make a Marriage Biodata
A short, practical guide. It takes about ten minutes with the biodata maker.
Step 1: Collect the details
Ask your parents for the exact time and place of birth if your family will match horoscopes. Note your height, your highest degree and where you studied, and your current job and city.
Step 2: Choose a photo
A recent photo, face clearly visible, plain background, good daylight. Avoid heavy filters. Upload it in the maker and drag it so your face sits in the upper middle of the frame.
Step 3: Write each line short
“B.Tech, VIT Vellore (2020)” reads better than a full sentence. For brothers and sisters, write the number, elder or younger, and whether they are married. Keep it to facts and leave the impressions for the meeting.
Step 4: Decide what to leave out
- Income: some families share it at the first step, others only later. Leave the line empty if you're unsure.
- Full address: a city and a phone number is usually enough for a biodata that may be forwarded to many people.
- Caste and horoscope lines: include them if they matter to your family. Empty lines don't appear.
Step 5: Check, then download
Read the preview once for spellings of names and places, ideally with a parent. Then download the PDF for printing and the JPG for WhatsApp. Your draft stays saved in your browser, so you can come back and change it later.
Sharing it safely
A biodata often travels far beyond the first person you send it to. Share a phone number that you're comfortable having passed around, and avoid putting ID numbers, bank details or your exact home address on it.
